Hey guys,
So it is now June, and it marks 2 months since Travis has been deployed. It is crummy, I wont lie. It's like time has gone by so slow, but fast at the same time? Maybe that's just me, I have no idea. It's hard not having my best friend here to open the pickle jar when I need him to be! ha. I'm a complainer, I know I know...get over it!
Work has been keeping me busy. I've been working out so i can look like Carmen Electra! I ran my first 8k and placed? I was talking to Coach Freeman and they were calling my name. Me, just standing there tuning people out because I knew that there is no way that I placed...and all of the sudden everyone in the crowd is yelling at me to go up to the stage. haha. SWEET!
I know I'm probably late when coming to things like these, but I JUST discovered toms? the shoes? haha. I was looking at one of my friend's pages and ran across the canvas kind. They painted starry night on them. I about freaked out! AND now, of course, I will probably be a copy cat and do the same thing. SORRY, it's a must. ha. (and now the wedges are out. o-m-g.)
I'm not gonna lie, I really do miss socal. I miss the weather. I miss the friends that I made there, and I miss having the boy HOME! It is home for us. I miss having to travel 30 minutes to the nearest nice town, and going to San Diego on the weekends at the spur of the moment. haha.
I finally got a picture of the man. A lot of my "wife" friends have had the chance to skype with their husband, and I have yet to do that. so I made him take pics and put them online. Lucky me, I'm married to a man that thinks it's funny to grow a trash-stache, but LUCKILY he knows that that doesn't fly with me, so he took one that is normal as well. haha. At this point, any picture is a good picture to me.
I feel like I'm rambling. OH WELL!
Travis and I decided that for our first anniversary trip that we will go to NYC to see the ball drop on New Years. It's on my to do list, I'm PUMPED! :D
I haven't gotten the chance to talk to Trav all that much this past month. He's only been calling on the weekends mostly, but he's doing well. He's missing home and wants nothing more than to see Miller and eat Mexican Food from Henry's haha. Sounds about right..
Anyways, I guess I'll update soon...
